Ever seen one of these?

The bird, that is! She is a partial albino red tailed hawk! Isn't she absolutely beautiful?  Her name is Cloudfeather, of course! And she resides at the habitat at Lees McRae.  This fella gave us all the scoop tonight at the farmers market.  The young man is majoring in wild life rescue/rehab through some variety of biology.  It was truly peaceful to stand in her "bubble" and have her silently acknowledge our presence.  Very sweet!
The Glover House is filled with color and flowers at long last! Delightful!  I have a lot of pictures to download but Picasa won't cooperate tonight and I'm too tired to persevere, so this is it for now!

For those of you who don't already know, most of my blogging has been going on right here at the artsymatilda site.  It's been mostly art based in nature, but there are snippets of other life in there too.  It's not easy to keep up 2 blogs!  So please feel free to check out the other site when this one stays dormant for too long!
Happy 4th of July to one and all!
Cheers!
Paul and Cheri
