Packing!

It's beginning to look a lot like boxes around here. Every corner, nook and cranny is filled with boxes that have been packed or boxes that are waiting to be packed or even stacks of things waiting to be put into boxes! Organized choas, my favorite! Today we (I) tackled mother's and grandmother's crystal ... always a tedious task! One kitty is curled up on top of the boxes, the other is under the table ... they are of course, sleeping, as is Paul, but he has the good sense be on the couch! We are adjusting to the idea of packing everything we own and putting it all on a truck and driving it 710 miles to our new home. We haven't, however, figured out where the energy is going to come from, hence the naps! I'm hoping to have the boxes all packed by Sept. 15th. Wish us luck! Maybe those packing fairies will show up after all?! Fingers crossed!

Gypsy hearts beginning anew

Here's our newest adventure! A 1924 historic home snuggled in the blue ridge mountains of northwestern North Carolina. As we hustle to tie up all the loose ends in Orlando, we hope to arrive in our new haven by mid October. We so look forward to the changing seasons, yes! even the snow that we know will fall. We will be living in Elk Park, which is 6 miles from Banner Elk where there are ski resorts (Beech and Sugar Mountains). So for all you ski enthusiasts, you'll have lodging for your ski trips once the house is ready! We'll keep you posted! Paul & Cheri
